Ms. Johnson has nearly 30 years of experience as a claims supervisor. She is well-versed with Bodily Injury claims and the unique nuances of claims administration for California public entities. She holds a BA in Management from the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Lingenfelter has over 30 years of experience working in the claims industry. His career began in 1991 and he has held several positions throughout his career, most recently a management position in the role of Claims Supervisor. Mr. Lingenfelter brings extensive public entity experience to the table– working in the public entity arena for the past 20 years. Mr. Lingenfelter holds a degree in Business Administration from Fresno State University.
Ms. Melchor has 35+ years in the insurance claims business. She has spent the last 12 years handling and managing public entity claims as a Senior Claims Adjuster and a Litigation Manager for a Joint Power Authority implementing processes and oversight of excess exposure claims.
Ms. Pickering began her career in the industry in 1994 and has handled a vast range of claims handling, personal and commercial lines, public entity general liability, civil rights, and employment practices liability. Prior to joining George Hills, Ms. Pickering was the Senior Claims and Litigation Adjuster for a JPA consisting of seven school districts in Southern California.
Ms. Hunt has 26 years of experience in the industry. She has been focused on subrogation recovery for public entities for 15 years.
Sylvia Schweizer lives in Whittier, CA and graduated Whittier College with a degree in Political Science. Sylvia has been in the insurance industry since 2001. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband and two children.
John E. Chaquica, George Hills’ chief executive officer, he is well known for his innovation, industry knowledge, team building, and inspiring leadership. With over 35 years of experience in finance, risk and JPA management, he applies a virtually unmatched level of experience and talent to every problem. Before joining George Hills in 2008, John was CEO of Bickmore Risk Services and the audit partner at Gilbert Accountancy Corporation. Under his guidance at George Hills, the firm continues to grow and build a solid reputation as the preferred TPA of California public entities.
Mr. Shaffer has an exceptional, 28-year record of achievement in the management of corporate clients, risk management, business systems, and information systems operations. He has proven his ability to improve business performance, increase capabilities and efficiency, reduce costs, minimize risk, and streamline workflow by implementing technology and process enhancement solutions.
Mr. Rendig is an established Liability Specialist with public entities. He has decades of industry experience with a background that includes work for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, California Casualty and as George Hills’ account manager for the County of Sacramento.
Ms. Huff has over 27 years of management-level experience in the insurance claims industry. She brings extensive public entity experience to the table– working in the public entity arena for the past 14 years. Ms. Huff earned her degree from the University of Santa Barbara. She holds an Associate in Claims-Management (AIC-M) designation.
Mr. Hunt has over 28 years’ experience in the insurance claims and risk management industry primarily serving self-insured public and private clients. Mr. Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. He holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Mr. Mershon has 20 years of experience in client services and is committed to our clients’ satisfaction. Mr. Mershon holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University-Fullerton. He also earned his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) credential.
Ms. Proctor holds a BA in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. She is experienced with public entity claims, public records, and business development. Ms. Proctor has a decade of experience as a Risk Manager, and nearly a decade of operation management.
Mr. Oram has been practicing law since 2010. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2006 from California State University, Sacramento and then went on to attain his California Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, Mc George School Law in 2009.
Cornelius (Neil) Callahan, Esq. has 25 years of experience defending public entities on high profile claims in state and federal courts. In 1999, he began practicing law in California where he served as lead trial counsel for public entities in the areas of civil rights, police practices and dangerous condition defense.
Catie is the Corporate Services Manager for George Hills. Her primary focus is to support the CEO and COO, to execute operational and strategic directives, and contracting support for company clients and vendors. She started her career in the medical field as a clinical coordinator and supervisor for nearly 20 years, providing her a unique perspective on daily operations.
Ms. Morgan has more than 20 years of experience handling claims in Public Entity General Liability areas. She has more than 20 years of litigation experience. Ms. Morgan is well-versed in handling complex, litigated claims, and holds a Business Administration Degree from California State University, Los Angeles.
Ms. Amacker earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2004. Just four years prior she began her insurance career with the County of Orange, where she was a Senior Claims Examiner for 14 years. Ms. Amacker has investigated, monitored, and maintained various aspects of the claims handling process. She is highly accomplished at interpreting government rules and policies governing public sector labor and employee relations, EEOC and affirmative action principles, AD, HIP, Peace Officer Bill of Rights, and Labor Code 4850.
